Introduction

What is Concord Regional Crimeline?

Concord Regional Crimeline is a non-profit partnership between the law enforcement community, and the communities they serve.  It provides citizens with a vehicle to anonymously supply the police with information about a crime or potential crime of which they have knowledge.  The program is designed to involve the public in the fight against criminal activity.

Cash rewards up to $1000 are offered to people who call the program and their information leads to an arrest, the recovery of stolen property, or the seizure of illegal drugs.

Concord Regional Crimeline is a member group of Crimestoppers International.

How Does Crimeline Work?

By Phone:  The Crimeline phone is staffed 24 hours a day. Callers are given a code number which is used in all subsequent calls and callers do not have to identify themselves.

Online:  You can submit information via the website link.

Text:  You can submit information by text messaging TIP234 and your message to: CRIMES (274637).

A reward of up to $1,000 is offered to anyone providing information which leads to an arrest or indictment for a crime. Rewards may also be made for information leading to the recovery of stolen property, the seizure of illegal drugs, or an arrest on an outstanding warrant.

The media is a very important component of Crime Stoppers. An unsolved crime may be publicized on radio or in the newspaper. The local media, such as the Concord Monitor,   brings the program to the attention of the public.

Who Administers the Crimeline Program?

A volunteer Board of Directors actively administers and is responsible for the program. Concord Regional Crimeline is a non-profit organization and is responsible for raising funds and the disbursement of rewards. The Board of Directors work in close cooperation with participating police agencies in the greater Concord service area.
