Release Date:  October 29, 2008 - Burglary

 

The Henniker Police Department is asking the public for their assistance in identifying the suspect(s) in a recent burglary of a Henniker business.

 

On October 22nd Officers from the Henniker Police Department responded to 1409 Route 114 (Bradford Road), to investigate a burglary.  Officers arriving at the scene discovered that force had been used to gain entry into the building.  Officers discovered that an exterior door had been broken.

 

The burglary occurred between October 12th and October 22nd. Taken in the burglary were plumbing fittings and a large number of wire spools. Each spool weighs over 50 lbs. and the spools are marked “Lintz Wire Co.”.  The estimated cost of the items taken is $10, 000.00.

 

The wire was a specialty order and is used for wrapping transformers. The wire is color coded either red or green. Also taken in the burglary was “7 strand wire”, which is seven (7) strands of wire wrapped together and coated with a cloth like material.

 

Evidence was collected in relation to this crime. There are no suspects at this time.

Release Date:  October 7, 2008 - Armed Robbery

 

The Henniker Police Department is asking the public for their assistance in identifying the suspect(s) in a recent armed robbery.

 

The Henniker Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred just after 7:00 PM, Monday evening, October 6th, at Jeanne’s Market located on Weare Road.  A male, possibly Hispanic, entered the store and pointed a handgun at the cashier.  He demanded she empty the cash register and she complied by giving him an undisclosed amount of money.  The suspect also took an undisclosed amount of money from a back office area.

 

He then fled the store and left in an unknown direction.  Police believe he may have fled in an early model compact car, light blue in color.   He is further described as being early to mid 20’s in age, approximately 6’2”, and weighing approximately 240 pounds.  He was wearing an orange colored, hooded sweatshirt and dungarees.  He also wore a red bandana over his face during the robbery.
