The Police Department is asking the public for their assistance in identifying the suspect(s) in two burglary cases.
Between the evening hours of April 11th and the early morning hours of April 12th the Modern Pharmacy, at 5 Clinton Street, was burglarized. There was forced entry into the building. The burglary was discovered by an employee arriving for work at approximately 7:30 am. Responding Concord Officers discovered forced entry to the business via a hole cut in the roof.
On September 10th, 2006 the Colonial Pharmacy-Supermarket, 54 Park Ave., Hopkinton, was burglarized. Responding Hopkinton Officers discovered forced entry to the business via a hole cut in the roof.
Investigators have reason to believe that the two burglaries, though years
apart, may be related and that the suspect(s) may be from the Hopkinton/Concord
Area. Investigators are now releasing a surveillance photo from the Hopkinton
burglary in 2006 in hope that the suspect depicted in the photo might be
identified.
A quantity of cash, along with a large amount of prescription drugs, was taken from each pharmacy. Evidence was collected from both crime scenes. There are no suspects at this time.
The Concord Police Department is asking anyone who has information on these burglaries to call the Concord Police Department (603-225-8600), the Hopkinton Police Department (603-746-5151) or the Concord Regional Crimeline.
